Saint Kyriakos the Departed
Date of celebration: 29/09
What distinguished him from his congregants was the peaceful manner in which he dealt with them, which is why he was an example to be imitated by all. At the age of seventy, Kyriakos left there too and with patience visited many monasteries and hermitages, where he lived with the strictest practice.
Finally, he died aged 107, and everyone was left with the memory of the ascetic, who showed “gentleness towards all people” (To Titon, 3.2). Meekness, that is, to all people without exception.
