Agia Skepi of the Most Holy Theotokos in Blacherno and the anniversary of “NO”

The Agia Skepi of the Most Holy Theotokos in Blacherno celebrates the 1st of October where the biographical note. The Church of Greece, however, has moved it to October 28, where Greece celebrates the great event of its rescue and liberation from the Italian-German yoke.
The Service that is sung on this day was written by the Saint Monk Gerasimos Mikrayannanitis and was approved by the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece on October 21, 1952 AD. where it was decided to co-celebrate the feast of Agia Skepi and the National anniversary of “NO” (Conciliar Circulars, Volume II, Athens 1956, p. 649).
