You read the lives of the saints and see live translations of the Gospel in front of you and you are inspired.
You get to know them little by little.
You see how they were born, who was their mother in the flesh, how they began their lives, how they shed their sweat, their holy tears, how they watered the earth with their precious, warm blood.
The blood that was united with the blood of Christ.
You get excited and want to jump to reach high.
You read them and feel them with you, like listening to their breathing.
Let’s all sit together and after a while I say to you: You are tired, my dears, let’s take a walk.
We walk and chat together as a family.
This is how you feel the saints in your life, when you read them.
The question immediately arises:
Was not this saint a man like me?
How did he become a saint?
I can become a saint too.
You see his heroism, his love for God and your heart warms and you even want to surpass him.
